Mission Statement:
The Women's Center is a Campus Life resource center, re-established in 1999, to serve both women and men in the Vassar community. The Center seeks to educate the Vassar community about global, national and local gender issues through educational, social and cultural programming. We also strive to promote understanding among women and men of different classes, cultures, beliefs, ethnic backgrounds and sexual orientations.
Groups and individuals are encouraged to utilize the space. We have books and periodicals available for reference and personal interest, as well as information about other local and national organizations. The center also reaches out to the Poughkeepsie community to share our resources with a wider spectrum of people and organizations.
